Distribution is the activity of both selling and delivering products, getting them from the manufacturer to the customer. The term “distribution management” refers to the activities of order processing, inventory management, packaging, and shipping of physical products. “E-distribution” refers to non-physical products (e.g., video games, software, movies, music, ebooks). “Marketing distribution” refers to how products are made available to consumers through wholesalers, suppliers, retailers, marketplaces, and sales websites. The difference between Distribution and Wholesale is that distributors work closely with manufacturers and usually find the wholesalers, who work more closely with retailers.
